Fancort: Fixtures & Presses for Pin Pressing
Press with new fixture.
West Caldwell, NJ — Fancort Industries has introduced a new line of equipment for pressing compliant pin connectors into circuit boards. The equipment consists of custom fixtures built for the specific application and the appropriate press to accomplish the procedure. The fixture is built to spread the pressure evenly across all the pins of the connector without damage to the rest of the circuit board.

The fixture can be made for any size connector, or multiple connectors going onto one board. The press is selected from the many models available from the company, depending on the amount of pressure required to press the full connector into the board. The customer can choose one of the company's air presses, or for more critical pressing requirements, a servopress can be supplied that uses a built-in computer to control press cycle and has a built in load cell to ensure the pressure is not exceeded.
