Mydata: Synergy Line Boosts Thruput
Synergy production line.
Bromma, Sweden — Mydata has been demonstrating what it calls its Synergy Line — a combination of the company's machines including two MY12 machines and one MY500 operating in a fully automated line. According to the company, this arrangement can eliminate lead times between production runs — all without any operator involvement. Production lines can be set up to achieve high throughput without stopping production for changeovers.a
The line can simultaneously handle boards with different widths from different batches. The changeovers are made on the fly, triggered by the barcode on the PC board cassettes. Both the MY500 and the MY12 programs are automatically loaded when the first board in a batch enters the machine.
According to the company, with auto changeover in the Synergy Line, the user will achieve very high utilization and flexibility, especially in a high mix environment. Customers using this type of line setup have been able to increase their utilization to 85 percent. No operator involvement is needed to change between batches, which makes true non-stop production possible.
