ATE & Co-Located Shows: 1,400 Exhibitors
Los Angeles, CA — Canon Communications released figures confirming the successful launch of its latest co-located event. Last month, the Rosemont, IL spectacular occupied 275,000 net square feet with 1,400 exhibitors at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.
The Rosemont event included the first co-location of three major shows — National Manufacturing Week, Assembly Technology Expo, and Quality Expo, acquired from Reed Exhibitions — and two new ones, Electronics Assembly Show and PLASTEC Midwest, of Canon's own creation. Attendance reportedly exceeded 26,000 buyers, and on-site exhibitor renewals for the 2008 show reached 70 percent of available space.
Canon's co-location strategy now provides OEM buyers with access to mega-events in four key regions of the U.S."West, Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast.
