ASI DataMyte Intros Ruggedized Industrial Computer

Plymouth, MN — New from ASI DataMyte is the Model 9950, a ruggedized industrial computer that offers an especially suitable solution for clean room applications, such as electronics and medical devices, where a sealed unit is required, or where frequent washdowns occur.

The new product is a completely enclosed computer, with a NEMA 4X rating, for data collection in the harshest environments. It has a built-in 17-in. touch screen flat panel display and can be pre-loaded with the company's Applied Stats Data Collection Software or other applications.

The CPU and display are completely sealed to outside air, and the unit is designed to withstand temperatures of up to 45°C (113°F). A built-in thermal cooler ensures temperature stability. A small footprint allows the 9950 to be used as a desktop computer that takes up no more space than most 15-in. monitors. A choice of industrial mounting options is also available so that the unit can be mounted on a wall, pedestal or post to fit varying operator interface needs. All of the installed components are field serviceable to ensure maximum uptime and ease of repair and replacement.
