Tracopower Intros 5 Watt SMT DC-DC Converter
Santa Clara, CA — Tracopower is introducing its new TES-5 series of High-Performance DC-DC converters offering 6 Watts of output power in a compact surface mount package measuring only 1.29 x 0.83 x 0.39-in. The small size and high performance specifications make these converters especially suitable for distributed power applications. The TES-5 series consists of 21 models offering 9 to 18, 18 to 36 and 36 to 75VDC input ranges.

Output power is with 6 watts in single and dual output configurations ranging from 3.3 to 15VDC. According to the company, these DC-DC converters provide 1500VDC isolation; 85 percent efficiency (typical); full load operating temperature range of -40 to ~+70°C; an input filter for EN/UL 55022 class A emissions; over-voltage protection; short-circuit protection and under-voltage lockout.

The converters are qualified for leadfree reflow soldering in processes according IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020C Standard; they are RoHS compliant and are approved to UL/cUL60950-1, IEC/EN60950-1 safety standards.
