Etco: Custom Terminals for Overmolding
Custom terminals for overmolding.
Warwick, RI — Now available from ETCO Incorporated are custom fabricated electrical terminals designed to integrate with discrete component overmolding to produce medical devices that are more reliable and easier to assemble. The custom terminals for overmolded medical devices are manufactured to specification for integration with discrete component overmolding. They are supplied on reels or loose for use with various automation systems.
Produced in sizes from 0.008 to 0.090-in. thick with ±0.002-in. tolerances, they can provide better strain and flex relief, simplify assembly and cut costs.
Developed using rapid prototyping with 3-D solid modeling analysis, the company's custom electrical terminals for overmolded medical devices can be produced from medical grade alloys and others including titanium, platinum, stainless, and copper alloys. They can also be inlaid or edgelaid with precious metals to achieve special properties such as increased wear or conductivity.
