CDE: SMT Clad Caps Resist Cracking
Caps protected against cracking.
New Bedford, MA — CDE's MLC RF Clad Capacitors, SMT Types MCM and MIN, successfully pass a guaranteed minimum 5mm flexure, using the stringent Automotive Electronics Council test procedure AEC-Q200, Method 005. The remarkable robustness of these capacitors is attributed to their compatible COE with FR4 board material, a flexible dielectric plus rugged clad construction.
According to the company, these reliable MLC capacitors allow the use of larger physical sizes required for high voltage, high Q capacitors in high frequency applications.
Companion RF Chip Capacitors, Types MC and MCH, successfully pass AEC-Q200 method-005 and JIS C 5102 8.11 bend tests. In addition, these chips reportedly exhibit zero failures at 2mm deflection using the JIS test methods.
