Samsung: New Fast Autoplacers
High speed chipshooters.
Munich — SMT Assembly Solutions by Samsung is showing new placement systems including new additions to the SM400 Series Smart Platform — the SM411 Dynamic Chip Shooter with IPC standard placement speeds of 42,000 CPH for chips and 30,000 CPH for SOP; and the SM421 Advanced Flexible Mounter with IPC placement speeds of 21,000 CPH.

The products, part of the next generation assembly systems from Samsung, are based on the Smart Platform SM Series. The SM411 Dynamic Chip Shooter is based on a dual gantry platform with flying vision cameras designed to place a wide range of components at high speeds. Designed with both single and dual lane capability, the SM411 accepts the IQ Intelligent SM Feeders for accurate inventory and production monitoring.

Complementing the SM411 is the SM421 Advanced Flexible Mounter with its high-precision single gantry design for accurately placing fine pitch components along with a wide range of standard chips. Combining an on-the-fly recognition with a fine pitch stage vision system makes the SM421 the choice for a flexible production machine. The SM421 accepts the IQ Intelligent SM Feeders and can work in tandem with the SM411 to provide a high-speed, flexible solution for any production requirement.
