MicroCare: New Packaging Simplifies Fiber Cleaning
Single can works 3 ways.
New Britain, CT — MicroCare Corp. is introducing an innovative new packaging option, the Triton
three-way dispensing system, which is now available on the popular FiberCare
line of fiber optic cleaning solvents. According to the company, the Triton dispensing system improves the quality of fiber optic cleaning while reducing costs. Triton-equipped solvents enhance user convenience and performance compared to any other packaging option.
From a single Triton-equipped can, users can dispense the solvent three different ways: use the "hands-free mode" to wet a lint-free wipe with solvent for cleaning connector end-faces, cleaning bare fiber or optical components; use the "dip mode" to dampen a cleaning swab for cleaning connector end-faces inside alignment sleeves or fusion splicer V-grooves; use the "spray mode" to squirt solvent to flush contaminated areas such as alignment sleeves or adaptor caps or spray on any contaminated surface for cleaning. Changing from one mode to another is instant, easy and done with one hand.
According to the company, the Triton package also simplifies end-user inventories, since each Triton-equipped solvent replaces as many as three different types of packages containing the same chemical. This reduces inventory costs and purchasing complexities. Each Triton-equipped pump spray fits into tool kits, tool belts and even pockets, especially suitable when working up on a pole or down in a manhole. The cans are hermetically-sealed so the high-purity solvent remains uncontaminated in transit or in use. Training issues are minimized because the each pump spray has easy-to-understand pictograms that demonstrate the use of the Triton dispenser. Perhaps most importantly, the compact pump sprays are TravelSAFE
, which means these nonhazardous products can be shipped by air without the hassles of hazmat paperwork.
