Aven Intros First Digital Microscope Camera

Ann Arbor, MI — Aven Tools has introduced what it terms the world's first digital color camera for microscopy and video inspection applications with a built-in 2-in. LCD screen and instant image capture feature with the built in SD card reader. A PC is not required for image capture or image viewing, saving bench space and cost, although a USB 2.0 outlet is provided.

The 3.1 MegaPixel camera has a built-in high resolution 2-in. LCD screen, provides full digital signal processing, and readily captures images and video saving them to the built in SD Card reader. Images can be transferred to a PC whenever it is convenient to do so.

Connectivity is provided via USB to a PC or a printer. According to the company, the camera has user-friendly interface and many standalone features on the camera. These include crosshair for location and measurement; TV Out connector allows for connecting a larger LCD monitor for detailed viewing; wireless and wired USB shutter control.

Sensor resolution is 3.1 MegaPixels; maximum resolution is 8 MegaPixels; sensor type, 1/2-in. CMOS; frame rate, 28 fps at TV/PC Out; picture format, jpeg; video format, mpeg-4; mount, C-mount; power supply: 12VDC, 1.5A.

MiniVue comes equipped with USB shutter cable, USB cable, remote, TV-Out cable, power adapter, and Microcap 2.0 image capture software.
