SEMICON Europa to be Held in Stuttgart
Brussels, Belgium — More than 800 companies will display manufacturing technologies for semiconductor devices, photovoltaic cells, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) as well as test, assembly and advanced packaging at the annual SEMICON Europa exposition, which is set for 9-11 October at the new Trade Fair Centre, Stuttgart, Germany ("Messe Stuttgart"). In addition to the exhibition, SEMICON Europa will present a wide range of business and technical conferences to be held during the week of 8-12 October in the adjacent International Congress Centre (ICS).
The SEMICON Europa conferences and programs are organized in four tracks: Semiconductors, Test, Assembly and Advanced Packaging, MEMS/MST, and Photovoltaics. Companies in these categories will also showcase their latest technologies in the dedicated Technology Arena on the show floor.
Other programs include: "Strategies for Intellectual Property Management" on October 11, "EU Funding Opportunities" on October 8, "Access to Finances in Europe" on October 9, a "Market Briefing" on October 9, and a REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals) regulation workshop on October 11.
SEMICON Europa also serves as the industry venue to develop semiconductor and MEMS standards. More than 30 SEMI International Standards meetings, including workshops and Standards Technical Education Programs (STEP) will be held during the week.
