Seica Unveils Test and Assembly Solutions
Firefly selective soldering system.
Strambino, Italy — Seica Inc. is showing new products within its VIVA Integrated PlatformT to meet the challenges of today's focus on automation. These include the Aerial M4 system, the company's newest flying probe tester for loaded boards and the Firefly, a laser selective soldering system.\par \The company's products meet the GEM (Generic Model for Communication and Control of Manufacturing Equipment) Standard. In addition, the mechanical interface on the Firefly adheres to the SMEMA (Surface Mount Equipment Manufacturer's Association) Standard.
The latest addition to this growing portfolio, the Firefly, concentrates all the power and control of laser technology in the automated selective soldering process. Based on the company's VIPT architecture, Firefly simplifies the generation, verification and operation of any soldering program, while its flexibility and performance can be further optimized through additional software tools. Thermal control, so essential to the soldering process, is guaranteed by an integrated temperature control system that provides continuous feedback during the soldering process and displays thermal profiles clearly in real time. Equipped with a SMEMA board conveyor system, Firefly can also be integrated easily into any production line.
