Mouser to Distribute Freescale's Advanced Flexis' Series
Mansfield, TX — Mouser Electronics, Inc. is currently stocking Freescale's Flexis™ series pre-qualified silicon QE128 microcontrollers, as well as the QE128 demonstration boards. The demonstration boards will initially be offered at a discounted price in limited quantities and for a limited time.

The 8-bit S08 MC9S08QE128 and the ColdFire® V1 MCF51QE128 devices are the first products of the Freescale Flexis series. An industry first, the Flexis QE device duo offers pin-for-pin, development tool, and peripheral set compatibility between 8-bit and 32-bit. The QE products include 64- and 80-pin versions of 8- and 32-bit microcontrollers that make the design process quick, easy, and limitless ? delivering the ultimate in migration flexibility. Mouser currently stocks the DEMOQE128 demonstration board, as well as the 8- and 32-bit QE128 pre-qualified silicon device. By stocking the pre-qualified silicon, Mouser's engineering customers can begin the design and prototype stages of their new projects. (According to Freescale, fully qualified silicon is scheduled for release in November 2007.)
