Rohwedder Acquires Elektrobit's JOT Automation Brand
Bermatingen, Germany — The Rohwedder Group has acquired Elektrobit Corporation's (EB), Production Solutions business. The division joins and expands on Rohwedder's Electronic Productions Solutions (EPS) business. EPS will now incorporate the JOT Automation brand across all of its product offerings. The JOT Automation brand will include assembly, material processing, material handling and manufacturing test equipment for a range of electronics manufacturing industries.

Rohwedder's EPS business is now set to become one of the largest global electronics industry automation solution providers. The combination of EPS's skills set from R&D to customer service will be unique to the market. The global presence of EPS will broaden its customer base to target all manufacturing areas; including the automotive, telecommunications, electronics and medical technology industries. Rohwedder's EPS unit will also enhance its product innovation to become a global technology leader.
