IMS: New Thick Film Attenuators
Thick film attenuator.
Portsmouth, RI — International Manufacturing Services, Inc. (IMS) has released its new IAX Series surface mountable thick film attenuators. The attenuators are especially suited for RF and microwave applications, and operate with favorable return loss to 18GHz.

The IAX Series includes case sizes from 0805 to 2512 and power ratings to 4W. According to the company, attenuation accuracy starts at ±0.2dB, and standard attenuation values are 0dB to 70dB, in 0.5dB increments.

Platinum Silver terminations are available in both Wraparound and Single Wrap to Groundpad styles for solder or epoxy attachment. Nominal impedance is 50Ω.
