Shrink Sleeve Printer from Phoenix Contact
Shrink sleeve printer.
Middletown, PA — Phoenix Contact has introduced the Thermomark W1 printer, a thermal transfer printer specifically designed to print on continuous reels of heat-shrink wire markers. The newest addition to the Marking Solutions line, the new printer allows users to dictate the overall length of the marking sleeve, which reduces waste and can lower material costs by up to 20 percent.
The printer's 300-dpi printhead provides durable high-quality printing at up to 2-in./sec. A specially engineered cutter performs a fine perforation at the end of each marker that is quick and easy to tear. This true perforation also keeps the markers in one continuous strip, which keeps the job site tidy.
The continuous rolls of heat shrink wire-marking sleeves are UL-recognized and come in white and yellow. The materials are available in three different sizes, covering wires between one and 18 millimeters in diameter, and the 3:1 shrink ratio ensures they will fit almost any application. Ink ribbons for the printer are available in black, blue and red.
The unit is controlled by the new CLIP PROJECT advanced marking software, allowing users to easily create high-quality custom markers.
