FETtest Completes Acquisition of Amicronix
Morgan Hill, CA — FETtest, Inc. has acquired Amicronix, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of production mixed signal semiconductor testing equipment. With the acquisition of Amicronix, FETtest will offer its worldwide customer base a single source for all of their discrete and mixed signal component testing needs. Amicronix, located in San Jose, California, was incorporated in 2000 by a team of engineers looking to combine their expertise in IC test and high-speed production testing. The company focused its R&D efforts on a low-cost IC tester with superior hardware and software capabilities. The first offering, the Series 300 IC test system, was released in 2001. Amicronix enjoys a fine reputation for producing low-cost, high-performance mixed signal testing systems. Its powerful software and 128-pin parallel multi-site testing capabilities dramatically increase component throughput in customer production test environments.
"The addition of mixed signal testers to our product portfolio positions us to support the full range of production semiconductor component testing," says Jim Kufis, president and CEO of FETtest. "With the partnering of Amicronix with FETtest, we can now offer a comprehensive automatic test solution to the semiconductor industry."
