SMT/Hybrid Sets Records in Nuremberg
Nuremberg, Germany — SMT/HYBRID/PACKAGING 2007 had a record- breaking three days, having hosted 593 exhibitors in an area that covered 27,000m2 (32,400 yard2) including companies from 27 countries presenting the latest products, innovations and trends in system integration in micro electronics. The high percentage of foreign exhibitors (35 percent this year) underlined the show's global importance.

The crowd of visitors far exceeded the show management's expectations; in fact shortly after the doors opened, exhibitors were reportedly overwhelmed by the crowds. While a final count wan not available, show management estimates that is far exceeded the 24,350 attendees for the 2006 show.

In addition to the booths, there were programs that consisted of two forums within the exhibition area as well as conferences that offered new insights into the microelectronics industry. Final figures will be released by the end of June.
