Paperless Chart Recorder from Computer Aided Solutions
Paperless chart recorder.
.
Chesterland, OH — The BrainChild Electronics VR18 paperless chart recorder is now available in the U.S. from Computer Aided Solutions, LLC. The new instrument is said to be a suitable replacement for older paper chart recorders ordinarily used to monitor and record data in design, test, manufacturing and processing applications.
The VR18 has a high-resolution 6.4-in. LCD display with six plug-and-play I/O slots. These slots can accept different cards for up to 18 analog inputs or a combination of analog inputs, analog outputs, digital inputs and digital outputs. The analog input cards provide support for thermocouples, RTDs, voltage inputs or current loop inputs. Input channels offer channel-to-channel isolation of greater than 400V. The flexibility to customize the number of analog or digital inputs and outputs via plug-in cards allows the VR18 to be tailored for specific applications.
The instrument has a user-friendly, soft-key interface for setup and operation. Multiple display modes allow real-time and historical data to be viewed in several different formats including trend charts, numeric displays, bar graphs or any combination of these. Measured data is recorded in internal Flash or on a removable Compact Flash card for archiving or transfer to a PC. Data, either historical or real-time, can also be viewed on a remote PC connected via Ethernet, RS-232 or RS-422/RS485.
The VR18 is available in panel mount or portable configurations depending on the intended application. Optional software provides math support for calculated channels and support for FDA CFR 21 Part 11 compliant reporting. It can be used to monitor, record and evaluate equipment, processes, and environmental conditions in a wide range of operations, including chemical, food and beverage, petrochemical, semiconductor, automotive, R&D laboratories and more.
