Trumpf: TruPunch for Stamping Applications
Highly accurate and fast industrial punch.
Farmington, CT — Trumpf's TruPunch 2020 for stamping applications reportedly offers fast acceleration and punching speeds, without sacrificing accuracy. Equipped with a 50 x 100-in. working range and the ability to handle 4 x 8-ft. sheets, the machine creates a turnkey processing package that makes prototype jobs easier and more cost-efficient for stamping houses.

Special design features, such as a fully integrated linear tool changing rail, gantry drive, open architecture and rigid coordinate guide system, enable the machine to achieve the highest possible production speeds for a unit of its compact size. In addition, due to the company's signature single-station punching head design, a complete tooling changeover can be accomplished in less than one minute. The machine's linear tool magazine, which can hold up to 19 different tool cartridges, in addition its 360° and all-tool rotation give the user the freedom to create a variety of different part shapes while efficiently nesting parts for optimal material utilization.

Punching technology advantages such as fast setup and changeover help create the shorter lead times and greater flexibility needed for stamping houses to take on short run production that was previously unprofitable or not possible.
