Identco: New Polymeric Overlam Protects Labels
Overlam resists chemicals.
Ingleside, IL — Identco International extends its product spectrum of comprehensive identification products and solutions with a newly developed line of overlaminating products. The new polymeric overlam method is designed to provide chemical and abrasion resistance to printed graphics on label substrates.

According to the company, the new polymeric overlam for thermal transfer labels affords outstanding chemical and abrasion resistance to printed labels and, at the same time, allows the user to add thermal transfer printing on top of the overlaminate layer. The result is a conforming material that is more economical than traditional overlaminating films.

The new polymeric overlam method also provides the high gloss "wet look" wanted by design engineers at premium device manufacturers and graphics-quality minded end users. Another advantage is its resistance to chemicals.

Polymeric Overlam is available for use on transparent, white and silver film label substrates with a large variety of adhesives for industrial, medical and electronic applications
