Hard Surface Gap Fillers from Fujipoly
Hard surface gap filler.
Carteret, NJ — Fujipoly America Corp. now has available its Sarcon
®
GR and XR thermal interface materials with a hardened top surface. The hardened surface is less tacky than the opposing contact side, allowing the thermal pad to consistently adhere to either the electrical component or opposing heat sink. This eliminates gap pad tearing during disassembly for rework and simplifies both online and in-the-field maintenance.
In addition, GR-H materials facilitate improved handling and installation during complex assemblies and die-cutting operations. All GR-H formulations are supplied in a fully cured state and remain pliable for reliable contact between irregular electronic component gaps and protrusions and nearby heat sinks.
The GR-H and XR-H gap filler materials are available in eight different formulations and offer thermal conductivity from 1.2 to 17.0 W/m°K. According to the company, Sarcon GR-H materials easily conform to uneven surfaces to make complete, reliable thermal transfer contact. These gap fillers are available in sheets with thicknesses from 0.5 to 5.0mm up to a maximum 200 x 300mm dimension.
