SolVision IC Package Inspection Goes to Major Korean Facility
Boucherville, Quebec, Canada — SolVision Inc., a developer of automated visual inspection equipment for the semiconductor industry, announced that its AV6010 vision systems have been selected by a top Korean semiconductor contract manufacturer for IC package inspection, including advanced flipchip devices. According to the company, the system's superior throughput and repeatability were key factors in its win over competing solutions, as was the system's ability to overcome challenges inherent in lead- free and shiny ball inspection. Following an extensive evaluation period, installations of the multiple AV6010 systems at the customer's assembly and test house were completed in December 2006 and January 2007.
