||SUWANEE, GA - An overall positive mood in the Northern American electronics manufacturing industry was reflected by large visitors at SMTA International 2017, September 19-20, in Rosemont, Illinois. Clearly the most prominent topic of interest: smart manufacturing tools and concepts and how to realize them. As a result, the ASM booth 1205 was highly frequented. Visitors were able to see the newest machines, from ASM’s range of DEK Screen Printers and SIPLACE Pick and Place platforms, as well as ASM line and factory software tools and Process Support Products that can help improve yield and throughput in the SMT process. Mark Ogden, Senior Marketing Manager Americas at ASM: “Electronics manufacturers in Northern America are eager to explore the benefits that can be reaped from more integrated and automated workflows across their SMT productions. The ASM solutions that were on display at SMTA International ranged from our leading printing and placement platforms DEK NeoHorizon and SIPLACE SX to advanced Material Management and software solutions to our PSP offerings. ASM’s ability to support them across so many of their daily production challenges is definitely something we see is appreciated by our customers.”
ASM invited SMTA International visitors to booth 1205 to learn all about its wide-ranging portfolio of hardware and software solutions. The SIPLACE SX placement machine, offering the industry’s fastest setup and changeover, has no hardware constraints, combined with industry leading line software to allow for the most flexibility in SMT placement. Also on display was the DEK NeoHorizon screen printer including Hawkeye paste inspection, high throughput conveyor and fastest single sweep Cyclone stencil cleaner. Other highlights included ASM solutions for SMT workflows like material management, virtual production and preparation as well as the E by SIPLACE and ASM Process Support Products, which can improve the yield of the SMT process.
“While best-in-class hardware remains at the heart of any successful electronics manufacturing site, we see more and more of our customers setting out to optimize workflows surrounding their SMT lines. ASM has the right tools for them.”
