RPS Selective Soldering Gets Improved Life Cycle
Spokane Valley, WA — RPS Automation LLC has implemented a new style nitrogen preheat unit with an integrated thermocouple for its full line of selective soldering equipment. This new unit will reportedly increase the component life cycle, decrease overall cost, and reduce maintenance needs.

RPS Selective Soldering Systems are highlighted by their ability to flux and solder a high mix of changing and often complex assembly requirements, including tall and odd-size components, tight keep-aways, thermal demands, and thermal limitations. The innovative simplicity of these systems can now be improved through a newly designed nitrogen preheat unit and thermocouple.

Through extensive production and laboratory testing, the company has determined that the new preheat unit will ensure precise thermocouple placement, which is essential for providing consistent temperature measurements. This improvement increases the component life cycle, decreases overall cost, and reduces maintenance needs for the selective soldering system.
