NASHVILLE, TN — Kyzen announces that it will exhibit AQUANOX® A4639 Electronic Assembly Aqueous Solution at the SMTA Philadelphia Expo & Tech Forum, scheduled to take place Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Crowne Plaza Philadelphia, located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Additionally, Debbie Carboni will present “Design for Cleaning” from 1-1:45 p.m.
Design complexities and functionality requirements are continually decreasing spacing between conductors. As devices decrease in size, contamination can lead to unavoidable and unwanted malfunctions. Contamination trapped under components can result in electro-chemical migration, leakage currents and stray capacitance in an electronic circuit due to high voltage and frequency. Cleaning is used on many designs to mitigate this issue. However, very little to no consideration is accounted for this during the product development process to address the cleaning process. Cleaning process is almost always a throw it over the wall issue for manufacturing to address as part of their process design. Factors such as the density of components, component layout, thermal heat requirements, and standoff height/clearance are key considerations. This presentation will highlight research performed on passive, BGA and QFN packages to identify the effects of solder mask clearance and land pattern design on ability to remove flux residues and improve cleanliness of solder electronic assembly.
Carboni joined Kyzen in 2007 as a Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager. A 15-year veteran of the precision cleaning industry, Debbie’s primary expertise is in the cleaning sector of the electronics industry. Recognizing Debbie’s talents and expertise, Kyzen soon named her North American Sales Manager for Kyzen’s Electronics Division. Debbie serves as an active member of the SMTA Philadelphia Chapter. She actively contributes as an author of technical papers that focus on precision cleaning and wave soldering and presents at various forums and workshops across North America. Carboni brings a unique understanding of cleaning equipment and processes, making her a valuable resource for addressing emerging cleaning challenges.
AQUANOX® A4639 is an engineered aqueous cleaning fluid that is effective on a wide range of soils including the latest lead-free no clean formulations at low operating temperatures and concentrations. A4639 is compatible for batch spray systems and provides exceptional cleaning results and protection of metallic surfaces with minimal monitoring and no sump-side additives.
AQUANOX® A4639 is available in one, five, and 55 gallon containers. Kyzen® and AQUANOX® are registered trademarks in the United States and other countries.
