Brushless DC Servo Motors from Nanotec
Brushless DC servo motors.
Medford, MA — Nanotec Electronic US Inc. has launched its new Nema 23 Plug & Drive DC servo motors. The PD4-C/CB product line consists of integrated, brushless DC servo motors with a field-oriented closed-loop servo control. The motors are programmable, quick and easy to install, and especially suitable for distributed applications.
The PD4-C/CB series is an addition to the company's popular Plug & Drive family of integrated motors. These field-oriented controlled, integrated DC servo motors are particularly advantageous wherever precisely controlled positioning and smooth running is required. The control and encoder are integrated into the housing of the BLDC servo motor. This reduces the needed cabling to just communication and power connections. Every motor can be programmed to run stand-alone programs or multi-axis coordinated motion control over the CANopen network.
The integrated Plug & Drive DC servo motors come either as a stepper or BLDC motor, both deliver servo performance. The PD4-CB for the first time is a BLDC servo motor. Thus, a large performance range is available, depending on what type of brushless DC servo is required — a high pole brushless DC servo with a high torque at a low speed (PD4-C) or a low pole brushless DC servo with a high speed (PD4-CB). The PD4-C models can direct drive applications that ordinarily require a combination of servo motor and gearbox. The new PD4-C motors with a flange size of 59 or 60 have a holding torque of 1.1 or 3.5Nm. The PD4-CB motors have a speed of 3500 rpm and a torque between 0.37Nm and 1.1Nm.
