SOMACIS: R&D Project for Signal and Power Bus Bar (SAPBB)
CASTELFIDARDO, ITALY -  Engaged in the SAPBB project, SOMACIS, along with two other Italian companies, is developing an advanced technology bus bar type solution for automotive applications. The circuit board will enable both power and signal distribution between key components of the automotive power system.

This technology, which is particularly interesting for electric cars, can also be applied to other markets, such as aerospace and defense.

The signal and power bus bar are achieved with a rigid-flex printed circuit board including a special copper-aluminum metal layer, which is able to dissipate the significant heat generated by the power circuitry.

Product development capabilities supported by SOMACIS use many advanced technologies to satisfy the high, and in many cases extreme and/or safety critical requirements and expectations of customers within various market sectors, such as automotive, medical, security, aerospace and defense.

For more than forty years, SOMACIS has been a dynamic company producing high-tech PCBs and delivering innovative solutions.

SOMACIS, headquartered in Italy, is one of the leading PCB manufacturers, with more than 750 employees and production plants in Italy (SOMACIS SpA), USA (Hallmark Circuits, Inc.) and China (DSG PCB Co., Ltd.).

SOMACIS is a worldwide partner supplying HDI, rigid, rigid-flex and flex PCBs for time critical and mass production requirements.
