Standex-Meder Gets New Approvals
Reed sensors now approved for immersion.
Cincinnati, OH — Standex-Meder Electronics, a manufacturer of long-lasting miniature switches, sensors and relays, has received IP67 rating for reed sensors, a demanding accreditation, which certifies that the sensors are both totally protected against dust and protected against the effects of immersion between 15cm and 1m. The new rating applies to the company's MK02, MK11, MK21P, MK26, and MK27 series of reed sensors.
The IP (Ingress Protection) rating system meets a number of British and European standards, including those established by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission). It establishes the environmental protection, both against solids and against liquids, of enclosures around electronic equipment, allowing users to be sure that the components will survive in their applications.
