REDMOND, WA –
Data I/O Corporation (NASDAQ: DAIO), the leading provider of manual and automated device programming solutions for electronics manufacturers, will display the Intelligent eMMC Controller Adapter at NEPCON China April 23rd – 25th, 2013 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
Electronics manufacturers can reduce their bill of material (BOM) unit costs up to four dollars per device by adopting Bare-NAND Flash over Managed-NAND Flash. Programming Bare-NAND using traditional methods are very challenging and complex. Some challenges include:
- Configuring Bare-NAND via discrete eMMC controller IC to support bad-block management prior to the actual data programming. Once properly configured the image content can be added.
- Matching the bad-block-scheme (BBS) and error-correction-code (ECC) used during programming with the BBS and ECC in the target system. When the BBS and the ECC do not match, consequences range from product boot failure during manufacturing to field failures resulting in costly product recall.
Data I/O’s Intelligent eMMC Controller Adapter removes the complexities associated with creating, managing and understanding bad-block schemes and error-correction codes, allowing electronics manufacturers to profit from the lower cost advantages of adopting Bare-NAND.
For over 40 years, Data I/O was the industry leader delivering solutions to meet customers on the forefront of technology. Data I/O’s (Intelligent eMMC Controller Adapter) and (Custom Algorithm) creates a faster and easier manufacturing process you can trust.
