Ledgewood, NJ — Bomar Interconnect Products, Inc. has expanded their RF connector offering with the introduction of the new SMP Interface System. The rugged subminiature devices are optimized for high frequency, high data rate applications
|Subminiature, high frequency coaxial interface system.|
The multi-functional system is commonly employed in a wide range of subminiature, high frequency coaxial cable-to-board and board-to-board applications. Engineered to securely mate and maintain performance through 40 GHz, the 50Ω subminiature devices additionally feature a VSWR of 1.18 max at 40GHz. SMP male PCB connectors are available in vertical surface mount, vertical surface mount through-hole (for extra board retention), and in edge-mount configurations. They are notably supplied in three levels of detent, each with different engage and disengage coupling forces. The three levels are: full detent, limited detent and smooth bore. The full detent provides the highest insertion and withdrawal forces and the smooth bore, the lowest.
Cable-ended SMP female connectors are offered to accommodate cable sizes 0.047, 0.085 and 0.086 diameter semi-rigid or conformable coaxial cable. Additional cable sizes are available upon request.
Specifically engineered to accommodate high density packaging, the series' size and ease of installation makes it well suited for a wide range of mission-critical applications in the aerospace, telecom, broadband, defense, instrumentation, and microwave market segments. The parts are most commonly specified for use in such multiple-port high-density modular packaging applications as communication equipment, satellites, phased arrays and active antennas, along with ground, airborne and ship-borne radar. Samples are available.
