ELGIN, IL –
HELUKABEL® USA representatives will be attending the 2012 MinnPack/Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) show, being held October 31 – November 1, at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, MN to showcase their cable solutions for the automated processes within the packaging and medical manufacturing industries as well as speak about making the choice between aluminum and copper cable conductors.
The MinnPack/MD&M show will feature suppliers with the latest technological advances in custom automation/assembly systems, robotics, sensors, switches, motors, drives, motion control, and much more for the packaging and medical manufacturing industries.
Among the many data and power cable solutions on display at booth #519
, HELUKABEL® USA will be featuring the NANOFLEX® line of anti-microbial cables for sterile medical facilities and multiple cable products approved for use in clean rooms.
The packaging and medical manufacturing industries are heavily regulated and must maintain a high level of hygiene to prevent end-users from being exposed to harmful micro-organisms. For these industry applications, HELUKABEL® offers the NANOFLEX®, a line of data and control power cables enclosed in a specially-formulated PUR outer jacket that prevents contamination from impurities and bacterial growth. These cables are also resistant to the standard detergents used in the cleaning process to sterilize equipment, which prolongs their service life.
In applications where a clean room atmosphere is required, HELUKABEL® manufactures the JZ-602, JZ-602-C, MULTISPEED® 500-TPE, and MULTISPEED® 500-C-TPE. These UL/CSA-approved, shielded and unshielded control power cables used in cable tracks are approved for clean rooms by meeting minimum particle emission into ambient air requirements, as tested by the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Techniques and Automation.
In addition to showing cable solutions, HELUKABEL® USA will be participating in the MinnPack/MD&M Innovation Briefs series. Regional Sales Manager John Scott, a 20-year cable industry professional, will be presenting “Aluminum vs. Copper Cables – Making the Choice,” on Thursday, November 1 from 12:00 p.m. – 12:25 p.m. in the Innovation Briefs Theater, booth #1729
. Scott’s presentation will discuss how aluminum is a cost-effective, alternative conductor to copper and the factors that must be considered when making the final decision.
