CGI Americas’ Matt Holzmann to present on Ergonomics at LA/OC SMTA Meeting on September 20
SANTA ANA, CA -
Matt Holzmann, president of CGI Americas, will be presenting a paper on ergonomics, microscopy, and yield improvement at the September 2012 meeting of the LA/Orange Chapter of SMTA on September 20 at 6:00PM.

Proper ergonomics is a significant factor in improving yields and product quality where visual inspection and assembly under magnification is required. Defects not found or caused through operator fatigue lead to later product recalls, increased after sales service costs, and reduced customer satisfaction.

Repetitive stress injuries related to poor ergonomics in processes using magnification are one of the leading causes of lost time labor availability. The implementation of proper ergonomics has been demonstrated to improve quality and profitability while also improving the workplace environment. This presentation will outline root causes and solutions.
