Cicoil's Rugged Silicone Cables for Arctic Conditions
Rugged cables for ultra-cold temperatures.
Valencia, CA — Cicoil's Arctic Grade Silicone Cables are designed for extremely cold temperatures (-65°C), punishing weather, and severe operating conditions. Suitable for use in land, air and marine equipment, these Halogen-free and Flame Resistant (UL 94 V-0) cables are an excellent alternative to PVC, Neoprene and Polyurethane cables that do not match the reliability of silicone in sub-zero temperatures.

The company's exclusive shock absorbing silicone encapsulation needs no external conduit for protection, retains flexibility and will not deform, wear or crack due to long term exposure to intense cold environments. In addition, the ultra-durable silicone is "self-healing" from small punctures and cable jacket damage can easily be repaired in the field.

Unlike other outdoor cables that become stiff and brittle when utilized in frigid climates, these unusual silicone cables are unaffected when exposed to hurricane-force winds, snow/ice storms, sea ice, vibration, salt water submersion, permafrost, high heat (+260°C), sea ice, weld spark, physical shock, operational stress, high levels of UV rays and ozone, de-icing fluids and most chemicals.

The company's proprietary extrusion process allows multiple wires, power conductors, shielded pairs, coax conductors, tubing , and other design elements like its patented StripMount fastening strip to be placed in a single flat cable, precisely controlling the inner component spacing, jacket thickness and the overall cable shape. Incorporating multiple elements into a single, compact flat cable allows for a tighter bend radius, space savings, greater current carrying capacity, noise reduction and longer operation and flex life.

Standard off-the-shelf single conductor, multi-conductor and hybrid cables are available from stock in continuous lengths, cut to order, or as assemblies with customer-specified connectors, 100 percent tested and inspected. For applications that require abrasion and adhesion resistance, Cicoil offers anti-friction coating options. Arctic Grade Cables are UL Recognized, CE Conforming, RoHS and REACH Compliant and are manufactured in an automated, climate controlled environment. In addition, these environment-friendly cables are 100 percent contaminant-free and exceed the outgassing requirements of ASTM E-595.
