Bentek Solar to Exhibit Utility-Scale Fused Disconnect Safety System (FDSS) at Solar Power International
SAN JOSE, CA ―

at the upcoming Solar Power International (SPI) exhibition, scheduled to take place September 10-13, 2012 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
“The FDSS is a breakthrough PV product that provides the first interlocking disconnect system design to ensure user safety that meets the latest ESA Canadian OESC standards for large 1000VDC utility-scale PV installations,” said Jim Peplinski, Chief Technology Officer, Bentek Solar.
“The Bentek Solar FDSS is designed for 1000VDC utility-scale PV systems for installation with 1000VDC utility-scale inverters. The FDSS provides a single solution for five key system requirements,” said Mitch Schoch, President and CEO, Bentek Solar.
Five customer requirements – One Solution (FDSS)
1) Recombining of input circuits or elimination of inverter fuses
2) Visible blade disconnects for incoming arrays (Complies with Canadian OESC rule 36-214 for 1000VDC PV products)
3) Over Current Circuit Protection
4) Multiple NEC compliant load break disconnects
5) Bentek Zone Current Monitoring
“Bentek Solar is currently shipping the FDSS into large utility-scale projects and is accepting new orders.
