SMTA China Names Megan Wendling Councilor of the Year

Shanghai, China — Megan Wendling, president of MW Associates, a global all-electronics marketing and electronics assembly consultancy agency, was presented with the Councilor of the Year Award by SMTA China for the sixth consecutive year. The award was received during SMTA China's annual awards presentation held in conjunction with its annual Breakfast Reception and Recognition Ceremony, held on April 26, 2012 at the Shanghai Expo Intercontinental Hotel during Nepcon China.

Megan continuously supports SMTA China's events as well as actively promotes SMTA China conferences, events and technical seminars globally and has done so for many years. In addition, in her role as Advisory Council member of SMTA China, she advises the chapter's executive committee on proficiency matters as well as public relations for the SMTA chapters and council.

According to the SMTA, Megan received this award because of her exceptional support of the trade association. The award was based on MW Associates' contributions to the SMTA, including attendance at technical programs, support of chapter and/or national leaders, encouragement and support of participating members.

Megan Wendling is the principal of MW Associates, a global all- electronics marketing and assembly consulting organization that has offices in Naples, Florida, Ireland, London, Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit, Texas, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.

Another honoree at the awards breakfast, Zeping Zheng, BTU International's managing director of Asia Pacific sales, was named SMTA officer of the year. He has provided great support by liaising with China government officials on behalf of SMTA China. He has also served SMTA China as vice president of training and has been a key leader of the organization.
